Optimergo
Miniature wearable EMG sensor for sports and industry
Measuring muscle activity in real-world conditions
Optimergo is a miniature EMG (electromyography) device designed to monitor muscle activity in sports and industrial environments. This wearable system measures fatigue, posture and muscle load in real time, without restricting movement.
The project goal: deliver an integrated and robust solution combining textile electrodes, embedded electronics and signal processing in a light, comfortable form factor.
Our technical approach
A full integration of mechanics, electronics and signal-processing algorithms.
Wearable EMG sensor
An enclosure optimised for everyday use.
- + Multi-point integration for localised EMG measurement
- + Mechanical design optimised for weight and footprint
- + Industrialisation considered from day one
Embedded electronics
High-precision biopotential acquisition in a miniature format.
- + Dedicated PCB with low noise and high input impedance
- + Real-time analogue and digital filtering
- + Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transmission
- + Integrated battery, rechargeable via USB-C
Software
Intuitive tools to interpret physiological data.
- + Signal streaming over BLE
- + Pre-processing to optimise resources
- + IMU integration
Results & impact
Optimergo has helped bring EMG measurement into real-world settings. The system is now used in MSD prevention programmes across industrial sites and for sports performance monitoring with athletes.
Status: pre-series product — pilot deployment in companies and sports clubs
